Under the leadership of the Pastor, the Deacons are responsible for the spiritual

Board Of Deaconesses
This Board’s primary purpose is to assist the Pastor and Deacons in ministering to the
Spiritual needs of the saints, especially the girls and women. The Board meets every third

Board Of Trustees
This Board is responsible for managing the financial and physical aspects of the Church.

Board Of Missions
The purpose of this Board is to claim and take the Homewood Brushton area for Christ
through evangelistic outreach efforts and to communicate, co-ordinate and financially support
both domestic and foreign missions programs. The Missions Board meets every second Monday

Biblical Counselors
Team of lay counselors who support the Pastor in providing Biblical Counseling to individuals
who are struggling with spiritual and emotional problems. Members of the counseling team undergo
three years of training to be certified as Biblical Counselors. more information »
Becoming Ladies Of Character
Is a ministry designed to bring young ladies ages 10 through 13 into a growing knowledge of Jesus
Christ for salvation, spiritual maturity and service. Christ-like character is developed through
biblical teaching, prayer, special events and fun activities. Meetings are first Saturday of the

Christian Education
Sunday morning Christian Education classes for every member of the body. Classes are for the very

Ministry that takes the worship experience to the sick and shut-in members of the church several

Ministry that provides activities for couples to help enrich their marriages

Deaf Ministry
For too long there has been a gap between the Gospel and the hearing impaired. This ministry
has taken the steps necessary to bridge that gap by providing a team of interpreters to do sign

Genesis
Young Adult choir committed to honoring God through worship and praise. Choir sings at least
once a month on the fourth Sunday. more information »
Joyful Kids Choir
The purpose of this choir is to teach the children biblical songs of honor and praise.
The choir is open to children from three to eight years old. Rehearsals Friday

Kids Worship
Meets Sunday morning during regular service in the lower level for children from five
to ten years old. Biblical lessons, concepts and songs that help to make worship fun

Kids Under Construction
Meets every Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. Children are taught biblical lessons, memory
verses and songs. Ministry is open to all children, regardless of age. more information »
Media/IT Ministry
Facilitates the live production of Sunday morning worship services with the use of
audio, video and wired/wireless computer presentation technology. CD/Tape recordings
are available after each morning workship service. Special services and concerts are
also made available to Bethany members for their own enrichment or to share with

Men's Fellowship
The fellowship has been established to challenge men in their walk with Christ.
Its aim to encourage husbands to love their wives, turn the hearts of fathers toward

Nursery
Ministry to and teaches toddlers simple concepts about God, His love and His word using
short lessons, songs and crafts. Open to toddlers who can walk through age four every

Prayer Ministry
Prays for the needs of members, ministries and missionaries. Also responsible for the
Sunday morning prayer requests, monthly prayer sheet , emergency prayer line and corporate

Prison Ministry
A Ministry to prisoners and their families primarily through prison Bible Studies on

Sister To Sister
Provides personal fellowship for the women of Bethany, who encourage one another in their spiritual growth and maturity. The group is open

The Ministry Connection
Purpose is to be a liaison between the new members and the ministry leaders by assisting
with initial ministry contact, ministry leader follow-up and verifying new member

The Son Shiners
The choir is open to children from nine to twelve years old. Rehearsals

Transportation Ministry
Provides transportation for members needing a ride to church. Call office Monday for Wednesday

Ushers
Greet and seat worshippers and receive offerings for all worship services. There are adult and

Visitor Follow-Up
Ministry to follow up the visitors who attend Bethany’s Sunday morning worship service with a

Voices Of Praise
The choir proclaims and uplifts the name of Jesus Christ through song. The songs vary from anthems, spirituals and contemporary praise.

Young Christian Conquerors
Ministry for teens thirteen to eighteen dedicated to equipping them to stand for Christ now
and once they leave home and face higher education or employment. Meetings are first & third
