I heard the story about a little girl who was looking at the Nativity scene in front of her church. Looking at the Christ child with Mary and Joseph she said to her mother, “Every year we see him as a baby lying in the manger, when is he going to grow up?” This young child was very observant. For some that is all Jesus is to them, an infant in the manger. They don’t realize he grew up as the Son of God who died on the cross for their sins. As we celebrate Christmas this year, let us praise the Lord for the baby who became our Savior.
