Stan Meyer serves on missionary staff with Jews for Jesus in Southern California. He and his wife Jacqui raise Carrie-Fu, their Chinese daughter whom Stan adopted in 2005. Stan was born and raised in San Antonio. At age nine, his messianic-Jewish mother, Joyce, led him to a personal faith in Y’shua (Jesus). Stan kept his faith a secret throughout high school and into college until he became involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. During his senior year he became public about his faith and rededicated his life to Jesus. Months later he felt called to bring the Messiah to his Jewish people. Stan graduated in 1985 and came on missionary staff with Jews for Jesus that same year. In 1990, Stan married Holly Coulsting, a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. The Meyers traveled a year and a half with the Jews for Jesus’ singing group – The Liberated Wailing Wall, and then served as missionaries in Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale. In 2005 the Meyers flew to China where they adopted their daughter Carrie-Fu. Sadly, Holly died in 2011 after a two-year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

A year later Stan began seeing Jacqui Hops, a friend whom Holly & Stan knew for over 20 years. When Holly died, Jacqui prayed daily for Stan and Carrie. She joined Stan one Sunday to share her testimony and sing in a church where he was scheduled to preach. Something clicked and they began dating! They were married in August, 2014. Stan continues to serve in Los Angeles where he meets one-on-one with Jewish people, teaches the Bible, distributes gospel tracts, speaks in churches, and is raising Carrie. Stan holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Texas in Austin and an MA in Inter-Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena and is a PhD student at BIOLA University in Intercultural Education.
