Rev. Otis Lockhart, Jr. is the Pastor of the Hollywood Baptist Church in Powhatan, VA.  He is a native of Pittsburgh, PA and is the product of strong Biblical teaching and mentorship through the ministry of Bethany Baptist Church, where he served in the Youth Choir, Youth Alive and Usher’s Ministry.  After graduating from Penn Hills High School, he received a full academic Presidential Scholarship to attend Virginia Union University.

Rev. Lockhart majored in Journalism and received his call to ministry after rededicating his life to Christ during his sophomore year in college.  Otis was licensed to the gospel ministry at Bethany Baptist Church by Pastor William R. Glaze in February, 1995.  He began working full-time and later completed a Master of Divinity degree at the Virginia Union’s Proctor School of Theology. His ministry service includes serving as Associate Minister of Congregational Care and Evangelism at the St. Paul Baptist Church and Youth Associate Minister at Fifth Baptist Church in Richmond, VA.

Pastor “O”, as he is called, was elected and installed as the Pastor of the Hollywood Baptist Church on June 27, 2010.  In five years as the Pastor, Hollywood has celebrated its 150^th Church Anniversary, become debt-free, and surged with new vitality in its ministries and missions. Over the years, Rev. Otis Lockhart has served in many capacities in the Richmond community including the Strengthening Families Program, Christian Soldiers Ministries and the Richmond Tri-Cities Human Rights Board.

Rev. Lockhart and his wife Carolyn are the proud parents of 3 children, Benjamin, Amira and Samuel. Most importantly, Pastor. Otis Lockhart, Jr. is a servant of the King. His mission is to restore God’s children to their rightful place in the kingdom of God.  His greatest passion is to restore the love of God in the hearts of God’s people and make disciples for Jesus Christ.
