Position: Part-Time Next-Gen Pastor
OVERVIEW
The Next Generation/Family Ministry Pastor will be an advocate for all members of the church and will have a primary focus on making disciples of the next generation. The ideal incumbent will have the ability to execute the church’s mission and vision, through strategic vision, management of administrative processes, and an intentional focus on the recruitment and development of the next generation of disciples. The Next Generation/Family Ministry Pastor will also have a pastoral heart that can attract young families and young adults. The incumbent will be required to lead volunteers, parents, and youth in agreement with the word of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

- Conducts themselves in a manner that is consistent with the biblical qualification for leaders (1 Timothy 3:1-13, 2 Timothy 2, Titus 1:5-9) Possesses a Shepherd’s heart.
- Has a clear calling to Next Generation ministry.
- Passion for missions/evangelism.
- Strong biblical knowledge.
- Possess the spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading, guiding, and influencing youth/young adults.
- Experience working across generations.
- Strong interpersonal skills/relational intelligence.
- Proven organizational/planning skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, Christian Ministry, biblical studies, or related field.
- Master’s degree from a Bible College or seminary preferred.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee youth and family ministries.
- Conduct youth and young adults’ outreach in the Homewood community.
- Develop mentoring programs, activities, training workshops to help ministry leaders and volunteers to foster effective multi-generational discipling relationships with youth and young adults.
- Develop ministries and services to attract and retain young married couples/families.
- Assist the Senior Pastor with other pastoral duties as needed (i.e., leading worship services, preaching, teaching, or officiating at weddings and funerals).
Salary: Based on education and experience.
Time Commitment: Part-time (20-25 hrs/week with evenings and weekends as needed)
