Reverend Richard A. Payne, Sr.
Christian Tabernacle
Pastor Richard A. Payne, Sr, united with the Christian Tabernacle Kodesh Church of Immanuel in 1986. He served as a trustee; was ordained as a Deacon, licensed to preach; and was an associate minister of the church. Rev. Payne participated in a short term missionary team of nine people that went to Killingsworth Mission in Liberia, West Africa to build a school. He served faithfully at Christian Tabernacle until called to the pastorate at the Wilkinsburg Church of the Nazarene. After several years, Rev. Payne was called back to be Pastor of Christian Tabernacle in March, 2013.
Pastor Payne, being led by the Lord, began a four church fellowship with three other churches of different denominations. This Four Church Fellowship is now part of the Fellowship of Churches, an organization of churches that come together to praise the Lord Jesus. Rev. Payne loves God and he shares this love wherever he goes. He loves to teach and preach the word of God.
Richard and his wife Genoria have been married to for 47 years. They were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Rev. Payne and his wife graduated from Harty Bible School in 1986.
